What does "Development Solution for 2013" mean?

Development Solution for 2013 version program run success but on the Site Collection Features the Features does not auto active.
Also, Development V2 for 2010, the tree view on DeploymentTargetsControl.cs cannot edit, Site Collection Features the cannot auto active too.

Has any solution for fix it?

I'm having a similar problem. My Feature is Web scoped. The installer fails at
SPWebService.AdministrationService.Features.Add(featureId.Value, true);
with
Feature '812b2969-f81b-4303-8600-3c873e3ad6ba' is Site-scoped, and cannot be added to the Farm.
Can you tell me what changes you made? I need some clear explanation.

I noticed that with UAC on, you have to right-click and Run as administrator. This worked for me.

I tried the both links and they work for me. However I want to remove the prompt dialog messages during installation. Ex: "solution deployment".

Where and how can I remove them?

I'm fiddling around setup configuration, so to prepare my WSP deployment with your SharePoint Solution Installer.

Two similar questions:

What pixel size should my banner image be, so not to be stretched when set as BannerImage?
What is the accepted pixel size for logo image, again so not to be stretched or shrunk?

We have standardsearch setup , it works great in UAT server( usmrdwbs185 ) with aonus1\vbauliah credential and it was working in Production also 113 /111 with aonus1\tma-svengat credential. Recently I tried to run an in Production and I starting getting a message in the "System Check" step 2 saying that "SharePoint was unable to connect to the database server." All sites are working on the farm. An ideas as to what might me going on?

Can you give admin access as below details?

1. Aonus1\tma-svengat (uschewbs113 /uschdwbs111)

2. Aonus1\vbauliah (uschewbs113 /uschdwbs111)

Tried Below steps

1. Logging in as domain admin or logging in using SharePoint Central app pool account changed.

2. My credential is Admin.

Hello,

I am using Sharepoint Solution Installer 2010 setup for installing our product. I have an issue on installing the setup on SharePoint Enterprise Server 2010 machine and I have required permissions on the machine to install the setup at the time of deploying the solution(sample.wsp) it gets struck and not get installed. I didn't get any error and the corresponding(sample.dll) is in the GAC but the solution doesn't get deployed.Could anyone help me to solve this issue ?

During the installation of SharePointSolutionInstaller_V1_2_2 I get a FileNotFound exception. The installer crashes at that point. I have a development environment setup on a Windows 7 64bit machine with VS2010 installed. Error is below:

Is your solution listed in Central Admin Solution Management? What is its status there? Have you tried redeploying it from there?
