Multiple Features

Do you support installing solutions with multiple features and if so to what level? There appears to be a single featureID parameter. Does this mean that you will install all features but only activate one?

Hi,

I am also having a solution file that contains two features. One is Farm scoped and the other Site. Which feature id should I mention in the setup.config file. Will both the features be deployed?

Guys, any updates here? Can we have multiple features with different scopes?

Yes, all features are installed, and only specified ones are activated.

Activating multiple features is really an issue with GUI (interrogating user for locations for activation) -- if you know the site urls ahead of time, you could simply use powershell to activate them in the predetermined locations?

Note: For reinstalling or upgrading, the features may be at different scopes.

Deactivation will be done from lower scope (e.g., web) to higher (e.g., farm).

Re-activation will be done from higher scope (e.g., farm) to lower (e.g., web).
